Garage Sale
October 07, 2011 11:37 PM PDT
Whew! We just moved into our new house and I had to make room in the Garage to make a new episode. Boy, we need to have a garage sale in the worst way! For anyone interested, the sale is October 22nd and 23rd. I will get you a new picture of the dungeon after the sale. In the meantime, I had to get this one in. As always, I pray that you enjoy the music. 1. You, That I'm With featuring Ian James Whitelaw - Phonique

This installment was a pleasure to brew. One take with new music! NICE! The WORLD PREMIER this mix took place on handzonradio.com. Thanks to Unifyingvibes for having me as a guest. The title is real, take it how you want but it is HOT here in Florida! Tracklist to follow or by request. I hope you enjoy the music! Rueben Rudehouse 7

I would like to thank you all for your support over the years. Many positive things are happening with music for me. Played a gig with MasterKev of New York. We put on a great show for a great crowd that evening! I was also invited to play during Detroit Electronic Music Festival Weekend. However, as you all know, I have three little ones and could not make it. It's a big deal getting these mixes made. Quite often dinner, then bath and bed and off to the dungeon! I have to send out special thanks to my brother, Kristian. He has been challenging me creatively and has pushed me to put out a nice mix for you all. Thank you brother, you have been an inspiration. Most of the music played here was gathered for my last two live performances. However, I played some gems that were given to me by some great DJ's and producers in the House Music World. I have to give a shout out to Alan Ester, Delano Smith, Norm Talley and Swift Ruben Vidal of The DJN Project. I pray that you enjoy the music. Rueben Traklist: 1. I hope this mix finds you well. Hot beats and vocals for your pleasure! I enjoyed making this one. As usual, it took some time with the family. But I have to thank them for letting me "get it done". Tracklist: 1. Sing it Back - Moloko

I would like to honor my Mom, Margaret Hill, who passed away November 15th. I would also like to honor my wife, Danae'. Without these two women this mix would not be possible. I would also like to thank Mark Elzy and my brother Kristian who provided the system and recorder to capture these mixes. Everyone that was able to provide a kind word, meal or anything along the way will remain in my heart forever. I made this mix to debut on Cyberjamz. However, technical difficulties made it too late to air. Those technical difficulties will be your gain because we employed a wealth of technology to make sure the recordings are crisp, clear and enjoyable. You should be able to play these LOUD with little or no distortion! Happy Holidays and as always, I pray you enjoy the music. Rueben Tracklisting by request. Me, Myself and Delano

Mr. Delano Smith and his lovely wife invited me to their home and the mix ensued. I would like to thank Delano for blessing this mix with some HEAT! It is not the usual 80 minute mix but it is live and uncut! However, there is an abrubt ending. There are 62 minutes of HEAT! Thanks to all subscribers and as always, I pray you enjoy the music. Thanks for taking the time to check out the latest installment of The Rude Boy Series. The "kiss" photo on this mix is dedicated to my wife, Danae'. Thank you for putting up with my late night mix sessions and the support for the opportunities I am getting to play for people. I love you! I have been getting many requests to put out more R&B/Hip Hop and I would like to but it is hard to sift through all the garbage out there. However, I think I have found some great quality for this house mix. The tracklist is at follows: 1. Ah Star Was Being Born (Temple Movement Mix) - T. Solomon
I pray that you enjoy the music. Rueben Rudehouse 4

I have found "House" in Orlando! It only took me seventeen years, but it is nice. This is a set I did at the Pre WMC Music Conference BBQ. We had a wonderful time. There were many families and the kids had a ball. The food was wonderful and the fellowship was even better! The BBQ was a welcome opportunity to play for a great group of people and also a reward for the hard work I have been doing with Edward Jones. Thanks to all those that wished me well during my studies. I have successfully completed all my tests and I have moved forward with the opportunity. I pray that you enjoy the music! Rueben Tracklisting: Can't get over your love Joey Negro Mix - Simphonia

I wanted to drop this one as I am starting a new career with Edward Jones Investments. I will be on hiatus for a couple months studying for the Series 7 and 66 exams. However, I plan to come back strong. I hope you can enjoy this riding in your vehicle, relaxing or partying with good friends. As for the mix, it starts with a powerful female vocal. She tells the story of "Time Marching On" and in my humble opinion, the time that Jesus returns, "like a thief in the night". From there we go to to a fine house track, "Just Come By" featuring the French duo, Les Nubians. Then a hot one from the Jellybean camp that I enjoy every spin, "Shady Clouds". A lot more heat in between, including European and Latin influences. Then I finish up with one of my all time favorite artists, and a strong remix of "Sugar" by Roy Ayers. The end tune is a rare gem, "Planets of Life" by The Whispers. In my humble opinion, a classic soul heater! I am a SCORPIO! Going to try something new this mix. I will list the tracks for those that may want the information. 1. Finally - Kings of Tomorrow
Thanks to all, I pray that you enjoy the music. Rueben

New house with old school nuances. Many hot beats and soulful vocals. Especially love hearing Evelyn "Champagne" King on a new track. She reintroduces herself on the second track, "One More Time." From there I add a few songs that I consider to be gems. I love this mix and pray that you do as well! Those are my sons checking out President Obama in the photo. The first President they have known. Isn't that something? Look for a new R&B/Hip Hop mix soon. Thank you all for your support. Rueben Rudehouse

Back to the basics, house where it all started for me. I have and always will love house music. Took me a while to make this mix considering a new job and three little ones. I must thank DJ Theo of San Francisco. There are couple of "interpolations" from him on my mix. The rest is simply me banging my heart out. For those of you that enjoy the Hip Hop/R&B format, I will add another "installment" to the Rude Boy Series soon. Just had to get this mix off my chest. I hope you enjoy listening as much as I enjoyed making it. Rude Boy #16

Song selection is what makes a mix. If you pick the right songs, each tells a story. Your audience will know. Rude Boy #15

This mix is dedicated to my wife Danae'. Thus the beginning song, Woman. Shout out to all the DJ's out there with kids! It takes persistence to get it done with three. This is the first installment in the series in six years so enjoy.

I made this mix six years ago. However, it is relevant. Smooth mixing, hot beats and excellent music.

About Rueben HillBeen mixing most of my life. Started out in Detroit mixing with the likes of Derrick May, Juan Atkins, Kristian Hill and Alan Ester. Got away from mixing for a while and found a friend in Orlando with equipment. Got back into the groove producing fourteen mixtapes which I distributed all over the country. However, when I say mixtape, I mean tapes. I only have a few left and hope to convert them to CD. I am starting back again and love the Podcast format.
