The Rude Boy Series

It seems Rudehouse 8 ended a few weeks ago. You may have heard Part One. Well, it continues with this installment. The entire mix was made during the same session. The continuation is a gritty, spontaneous banger packed with 19 songs! We pick right up where we left off. "Monica" which ends and begins each post. Then Rejoy which is a nice funky remake of "Joy and Pain" by Maze. Of course some great Detroit producers are featured here, Delano Smith, Mike Clark. We also have a good friend Dr./Producer Riverside, who resides here in Orlando. We step out in the world with a few international bangers but the theme here is FUNKY SOUL! There are some beautiful vocals throughout. You have the ability to download the mixes and/or burn to CD. If you "subscribe" the mixes will auto load when I post them!

Another installment to the Rude Boy Series! The 4th of July is upon us. A time to reflect and spend time with family and friends, have a few cold ones and let the music play! A new installment in the series. The NBA All Star festivities are in full swing here in Orlando. Last night, I got a chance to play with an awesome DJ, Sandman at one of the parties. Also got to hang with my great friends Todd Greene and Andrea McInnis. We had a blast!

I have been gathering this music for the last few months and there are some good joints on here. Starting with a low down smoker by Ann Wirz, I love the lady's voice. She is probably cursing us out in french but it sounds good. The next track is Justice by Ben Westbeech, a little raunchy but gets me going. The next cut, Mind the Gap is mesmerizing. I just cant listen to it enough. The mix ends with one of my brother's favorite cuts, If I Had You, by Tiron & Ayomari, a huge song but a monster to mix. I just dropped it for my man. I would like to thank you all for your support over the years. Many positive things are happening with music for me. Played a gig with MasterKev of New York. We put on a great show for a great crowd that evening! I was also invited to play during Detroit Electronic Music Festival Weekend. However, as you all know, I have three little ones and could not make it. It's a big deal getting these mixes made. Quite often dinner, then bath and bed and off to the dungeon!

I have to send out special thanks to my brother, Kristian. He has been challenging me creatively and has pushed me to put out a nice mix for you all. Thank you brother, you have been an inspiration.

I have found "House" in Orlando! It only took me seventeen years, but it is nice. This is a set I did at the Pre WMC Music Conference BBQ. We had a wonderful time. There were many families and the kids had a ball. The food was wonderful and the fellowship was even better! The BBQ was a welcome opportunity to play for a great group of people and also a reward for the hard work I have been doing with Edward Jones. Thanks to all those that wished me well during my studies. I have successfully completed all my tests and I have moved forward with the opportunity.

I wanted to drop this one as I am starting a new career with Edward Jones Investments. I will be on hiatus for a couple months studying for the Series 7 and 66 exams. However, I plan to come back strong. I hope you can enjoy this riding in your vehicle, relaxing or partying with good friends. As for the mix, it starts with a powerful female vocal. She tells the story of "Time Marching On" and in my humble opinion, the time that Jesus returns, "like a thief in the night". From there we go to to a fine house track, "Just Come By" featuring the French duo, Les Nubians. Then a hot one from the Jellybean camp that I enjoy every spin, "Shady Clouds". A lot more heat in between, including European and Latin influences. Then I finish up with one of my all time favorite artists, and a strong remix of "Sugar" by Roy Ayers. The end tune is a rare gem, "Planets of Life" by The Whispers. In my humble opinion, a classic soul heater! I am a SCORPIO!
